The Lamoille Family Center staff works in partnership with families, other non-profit organizations, state agencies and countless others towards a common goal of all children being safe, healthy and loved. This work must start early: 80 percent of a child’s brain develops in the first three years. The foundation built during this time sets the stage for future learning and social-emotional development. The components of a quality early experience include an interactive learning environment, nurturing and supportive relationships with caregivers, a healthy diet, and freedom from toxic stress such as abuse and neglect.

Let’s Grow Kids is a new privately-funded statewide campaign to build public awareness about the importance of giving our children a quality early experience to help them succeed in life. Go to letsgrowkids.org to learn more about this campaign and to find out how you can get involved. Giving our children — our future leaders — every opportunity to succeed is in the best investment we can make!
