SIGN THE PETITION MEMES

High-quality, affordable child care is good for Vermont's children, families, businesses & economy. Yet, Vermont faces a real shortage of high-quality programs, and child care is unaffordable for most Vermont families. If you support creating positive change for children, sign the Let's Grow Kids Petition to send a message to legislators that kids should be a priority for Vermont!

National and statewide studies have shown that high-quality, affordable child care is an economic driver and the key to a better future for all. Let's invest smart. Sign the Petition to prioritze kids.

VERMONT'S CHILD CARE SHORTAGE MEMES

Too many Vermont families know how hard it can be to find child care in Vermont. Let's Grow Kids' Stalled at the Start report revealed that nearly 80% of Vermont infants and toddlers likely to need child care do not have access to high-quality programs, and nearly half do not have access to any regulated care.

VERMONT'S CHILD CARE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM MEMES

Vermont’s Child Care Financial Assistance Program (CCFAP) is a very important resource for many families who need help affording child care. However, the program has been underfunded for years, limiting its capacity to meet the real need of Vermont families and underpaying child care providers. We're asking the Legislature for an increased investment into CCFAP of $10.1 million this year. Support this effort by telling your legislator that this issue should be a top priority for Vermont!

VOLUNTEER FOR THE CAMPAIGN MEMES

Vermont’s child care challenges reach every corner of the state and all communities in between. That’s why creating change has to start at the community level. WRITE YOUR LEGISLATORS MEMES

There's a serious early childhood movement building in Vermont! This January, Governor Phil Scott said "We need to make Vermont a place where young families can afford to live and work ... A strong early childhood education system and access to affordable child care serves as an economic driver in supporting working parents and the businesses that employ them." Let's keep the momentum going! Please use Let's Grow Kids' Legislator Look-up tool to email your legislators about why Vermont needs to prioritize kids.
