First, I looked at providers in my area. Then I looked at the Building Bright Futures website which gives a list of violations from the state. This narrowed my list for people to call. My son has special health needs, so I made sure to see how the providers felt (and what experience they may have had) working with Early Intervention. I went to a lot of places and realized that play space, the rapport between the providers and children, and the ease of communication with the providers were all important to me. In the end, I went with my gut at a smaller place with a philosophy that meshed well with our family.
