BURLINGTON, VT. – Urban Rhino, a video production company, has recently been honored with Best in Show, Gold, and Silver awards from the annual Davey Awards competition. The Davey Awards is a competition for smaller creative agencies who “derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets.”

Out of thousands of submissions, Urban Rhino’s “Day One” commercial for Vermont nonprofit Let’s Grow Kids was selected as one of only 11 “Best in Show” videos, out of thousands of submissions. Best in Show selections are made by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA) from the pool of Gold Winners, based on their scoring and other elements of merit as determined by the Academy. “Day One” is now featured on the Davey Awards site homepage.

Another Urban Rhino video for Let’s Grow Kids (a short PSA called “Tough Choices”) was awarded gold, as was an animated piece for Drive Electric Vermont (“Plug In Vermont”). Two of Urban Rhino’s videos were also awarded silver Daveys: the “Fears” campaign for CCV and the Charlie Rose Oscar Opening.
